Well, things have been a little slower this week than I would have liked due to school stuff. It’s just about over so I’ll have more time for working on terrain shortly. We’ve got the cobblestone where we want it I think, it’s just a matter of testing out the painting before it’s finished. Once that’s done I’ll put up a post with a full block done up with the painted cobblestone. After that we’ll be re-creating the well piece and finishing up the meteor piece. I can’t wait until we can finish off a full piece.

For now though, I wanted to put up a post with some ideas we’ve had for the terrain and see if we can get some feedback.

This is a list of all the ideas that we’ve had so far for the terrain. If you have any ideas for full blocks, small details, or even suggestions on methods to do any of these things then leave us a comment! Some of these ideas are clickable so you can see some of the inspiration for pieces.

Small Blocks

Medium Blocks

Large Blocks

  • Mansion
  • Docks
  • Ruined Castle

  • Barrels
  • Crates
  • Sacks
  • Wheelbarrows/Carts
  • Statues
  • Ladders
  • Bridges
  • Fences
  • Hedges
  • Stone Walls
  • Gates
  • Trees (Dead Trees, Weeping Willows)
  • Torches/”Streetlamp” Torches
  • Signs
  • Rubble
  • Anvil/Forge
  • Sewer Entrances

It’s a pretty large list so far, but we’re always looking for more ideas. I really want to make this look great, and I think the little details really help so if there’s even a minor detail we left out, let us know! On top of this I also have another idea that would require an entire new set of blocks, but that’s for after we finish a full set of the main city terrain.
