More updates coming soon…

Posted in Site News on August 25th, 2009 by Svenn

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. It’s been a very busy couple weeks. Things will hopefully be slowing down a little bit soon and in fact I’m going to try and finish my Daemonette Mutant tonight. As soon as that is done I’ll put up more pictures. I’ve also picked up some Lord of the Rings models that I may try and paint sometime soon as well, but hopefully the next thing we do will be some terrain pieces.

Also, we’re always looking to expand the downloads sections. If you have any ideas for things you’d like to see us hosting then please let us know. You can contact us at contact@tabletopgeeks.com

Site Updates

Posted in Terrain on August 12th, 2009 by Svenn

I’ve made a few minor changes to the site that should help out with navigation a little bit. At the bottom of every post (or just about every post) is a list of related posts that will help you track a specific topic/project. All of the cobblestone posts are linked together, for example. Hopefully this will make navigating and tracking all the different projects easier, especially as we get more of them. Any feedback is welcome!

I have no idea what to do for the claw arm, mainly the part before the claw. It’s currently a reddish but it doesn’t look right. The hair looks fine how it is now, but I think I might want to change it to a bright, fiery red instead of the darker red.

The Marauder Mutant is fully finished, based and coated with a Matte finish spray. I also based and finished my Magister and Possessed. I used Ben’s basing method for the bases to give a rough ruins look instead of doing cobblestone. You’ll also notice that the pictures look much better. I used Hyun’s guide to taking photos of your miniatures to learn how to take some better pictures, and I am now using Picasa to touch them up before posting. Oddly enough I switched to a lower quality camera for these pictures, as my usual camera was not available. Read more »
